Who Can See Your Information

• Your family profile is visible to other families who match your preferences
• Your child's profile is visible to matched children
• Messages between children are completely private — parents cannot read them
• If your child passes on a match, only you (the parent) are informed — the other family is not notified by the app
• Your detailed lifestyle habits are only visible to your matched connections, not to parents
• Phone numbers are only shared when both parties agree and an admin approves

How We Protect Your Information

• Your password is encrypted — we cannot see it
• All data is transmitted securely
• Photos are checked automatically to prevent inappropriate content
• Contact information (phone, email, social media) is blocked in chat messages to protect your privacy
• We use trusted, industry-standard cloud services to store your data

Sharing Your Information

• We do not sell your personal information
• We do not share your data with advertisers
• We use trusted third-party services to run the app (hosting, image storage, SMS verification, analytics)

AI Features

• Your personal data is not used to train AI models during the pilot phase

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• View your information — everything is visible in the app
• Edit your profile at any time
• Delete your account and all your data from within the app
• Block any user you don't want to interact with
• Report inappropriate behaviour
• Withdraw consent by deleting your account

Data Storage

• Your data is kept as long as your account is active
• When you delete your account, all personal data is permanently removed
• Some anonymised feedback may be kept to improve the app
• Your data may be stored on servers outside Singapore — by using the app, you consent to this

Account Rules

• One person, one account — do not create multiple accounts for yourself
• A parent may create separate accounts for each of their children who are looking for a match
• Misuse of accounts may result in suspension

Children's Privacy

Rishta is for adults aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will let you know about significant changes through the app. Continued use of the app means you accept the updated policy.
